Founded in 1976, Strasman Architects Inc. (SAI) is a full service Canadian architecture and interior design firm that developed an early reputation for design excellence recognized by a number of design distinctions and awards at the regional and national levels. Our goal is to build solid relationships and together produce long lasting, relevant work that stands the test of time. Our path to reaching this goal is to design projects that function efficiently, respect the communities and environments that surround them, and successfully fulfil the requirements of our clients. Core to our success is the fulfilment of our client requirements and this is dependent on our engaging and listening to our clients. We invest the time upfront to review available information, understand and document what our client wants, and evaluate all design options and this allow to consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
The men and women at SAI form a deep, talented, multicultural and multilingual team of registered architects, intern architects, graphic designers, interior designers and technologists. This rich, diverse, dynamic range of design expertise allows us to assemble the best possible project team for each client and ensures we are delivering strength and innovation. Each of our project teams is led by a Principal or Senior Associate, and this ensures responsiveness and accountability.
Through our ongoing work, we employ a modern design sensibility that explores the opportunities of the site and context, respects the pragmatics of the project budget and schedule, and addresses the needs of our client. Our designs are often enriched by the thoughtful integration of structural, mechanical and electrical systems.
