This project involved a 100,000 sf complete interior retrofit to an existing four-storey heritage dormitory at the Royal Military College in Kingston, ON that included architectural, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications upgrades.
The dormitory was built in 1951 and is a prominent, historically significant part of the RMC – the project therefore required sensitivity to the heritage elements of the building. While designing modern living quarters for the RMC Cadets, extensive restoration to the heritage envelope, as well as repairs to the copper roof, were also needed.
