GO Transit Bowmanville Rail Expansion

The purpose of the Bowmanville Rail Expansion Project is to provide the required infrastructure improvements to address the existing and future projected ridership demand requirements to/from Durham Region. The project will extend commuter rail service through to Bowmanville with 3 stops included between the existing Oshawa station and the new line terminus. SAI is the lead designer for the proposed three station sites under the Bowmanville GO Transit Expansion project.

Project Types

Each station site incorporates commuter parking, rail platforms, tunnels, passenger drop off and pick up, full station amenities and service areas and integrated retail space. The station designs build upon the current Metrolinx Design Guidelines and branding principles while still providing site specific adaptability to ensure the site and building both function effectively. The planning incorporated provisions for future service delivery models by GO Transit operations.
