OLD – Parker House

The site for this residence was in the middle of what was once a 300 acre private hunting and fishing preserve. The site was a magnificent natural garden paradise. A beautiful  fishing stream ran through the site which tumbled 40 feet at the edge of a sheer vertical cliff 40 feet high. This is where we sited the house. The house has four wings in the shape of a cross. At the centre of the cross is the entrance. The four wings consist of the entrance bridge wing, the Kitchen,Guest and child’s bedroom wing with a magnificent view of the stream, the dining and study wing with a deck that bridges the stream  and the living room and Master bedroom wing  cantilevered over the 40 foot high sheer rock face. The Master bedroom is located below the Living room. The entire structure is lifted off the ground by 2 feet because of possible overflow of the stream and is supported by the four columns defining the entrance.
