Six New Buildings Organized Around Two Central Courtyards

The Quiet Cultivation Centre is located adjacent to the Bruce Trail, in the rolling hills of Hockley Valley, and serves as an international training centre where members come to practice Taoist arts. Strasman Architects Inc. was responsible for the addition of six new buildings organized around two central courtyards.
The development includes three residential buildings, a practice hall, an exhibition hall, and a traditional Chinese temple. The buildings were sited to respect the stringent requirements of the Niagara Escarpment Commission and are designed to reflect the philosophy of the Taoist society.
