This is a multi-phase project for a bus maintenance and storage facility to house 20 buses, single or double decker, and a permanent train layover facility. The facility designed to accommodate a phased construction approach to ensure ongoing functionality of both train and bus services.
The development of this facility will allow GO to double its daily service from Kitchener to Toronto and move closer to providing Two Way All Day service between the Waterloo Region and Toronto. The expanded layover facility will provide space for up to four GO commuter trains to park overnight along with the increased bus storage capacity.

The new maintenance facility includes The building includes inspection pit bays, flat service bays, service lanes with hybrid wash and fuel bays. In addition, the building contains administrative offices, operators lounge, staff amenities and a fitness area. The project is also designed for future expansion provisions, and is LEED Gold certified.
