This project is the conversion of an existing 1970’s building to a new
Manufacturing Facility for assembling the Citalis Spirit Light Rail Vehicles
(LRVs) for clients in the GTA. The facility was designed incorporating
scalability methods to ensure future expansion can be completed without
impacting 24/7 Operations. All designs were made as per AODA Standards.
The existing site grading was modified and a retaining wall extended. Interior
modifications to the existing facility were driven by the client’s Process and
supporting program functions.
In addition to manufacturing/production space, with Truck and Forklift Movement allowances, the facility was designed to also include:
• Shipping and Receiving
• Storage Area
• Testing Area – Load and Water
• Pits, Pools and Turntable
• Offices
• Reception
• Meeting Rooms
• Lunch Room
• Washrooms
