Strasman is working with Halton Region on the development of a new maintenance facility within the Mid-Halton Wastewater Treatment Plant Campus. The new facility will be the first of its kind in Halton, an in-house maintenance and repair facility that will enable the Region to improve asset reliability, reduce risk, and optimize inventory management and physical infrastructure by locating work onsite. The LEED Platinum (targeted) facility will be a single-storey, purpose built maintenance facility within the
campus. Strasman worked with the client to develop the vision for the facility,
determine the appropriate location, and undertake an extensive programming
exercise to determine the extent of the project and the needs of the users. Strasman and team are developing a design driven by the process flows and user needs within both the maintenance facility and the larger Waste Water Facility to ensure that it will function intuitively and act as a bench mark for future facilities.
