Strasman Architects provided architectural services for investigations and design mandates for variety of facilities owned by Peel Region, including for Tall Pines Long Term Care, Malton Long Term Care and Britannia Assisted Living. Undertaken in phases to allow for minimal disruption to residents, projects include renovations to kitchens, washrooms, tub and shower rooms, and associated support spaces in suites throughout each facility to upgrade flooring, cabinetry, accessories, counters, and wall finishes.Strasman developed a concept approach for finishes composition that would align with existing materials and finishes, including concepts for accent walls, flooring and wall finishes and protection, where needed. The approach was designed to be applicable across many units, be compliant with all specialized requirements for LTC facilities, as well as all AODA and code requirements, and to meet durability and maintainability standards required by the Region. The scope of services included full design and contract administration services for the multi-phase project.
